In Arab cultures Agar wood has been used for centuries as a token of hospitality. It is originally burned on a piece of charcoal to fill the room, clothes or hair with its sensual aroma.
In western perfumes we know Agar Wood as Oudh. Today, Agar wood is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world. High demand has increased the price, but also the rate of harvesting.
Together with Prototec and Spark design we designed a new technique, that reduces the amount of Agar Wood needed, and uses electricity instead of charcoal.
The new technique brings the wood to a perfect temperature within seconds instead of minutes. We perfected the balance between the inside heat and air flow and developed an advanced heating chamber with an unique heating element and ceramic insulation.
The result is a new incense burning ritual. An aroma diffuser that is portable, safer and intuitive.

Since 2018, we explore new sustainable material options for our supply chain. We sit down with every stakeholder in the chain our material suppliers, waste management experts, injection mold partners, blow mold partners, certification partners, packaging suppliers, clients etc. Together we come up with scalable solutions for biobased and recycled material offers, and continue to improve our findings. One outcome is a range of PLA packagings for Bio-Box and a biobased casing for Modrobotics. We continue to explore new materials for large scale productions. The Circular Light was created with consideration of the Circular Economy and Carbon Footprint. It is modular in design, easy to assemble, disassemble and repair; flat-packed for transport. The use of recycled plastics, metals and wood, gives it a sense of regeneration and symbiosis.
Circular Design
A4M group was responsible for the research and product criteria for circularity of electronics. Check out Circo for the research methodologies used. Orange Creatives translated the circularity criteria into an aesthetic design with focus on DIY repair.
Design Vision
In 2021, video conference and vlog light’s were booming, but lacked any characteristics of a furniture object. We aimed to transform the practical gadget into a multifunctional design object.

Solid soap as facial wash is becoming more popular. Based on a user study we found out that consumers struggle to store the solid soap, especially when it comes to face wash. Dove is one of the world leaders in solid soap, but is not selling their soap with a dispenser or container. Our team team took this as a challenge, and spend numerous iterations to come up with the perfect handheld dispenser.
Design goal
1. How to keep solid soap hygenic? How to prevent is from drying out?
2. How to keep the soap dry in the shower area? Where to place it?
3. How to make sure people can bring their face wash with them, to the gym or holidays?
4. How to make the product a treat for yourself or others?

Bolt is an advanced food trolley that solves the hassle of prepping and bringing along tailored healthy nutrition, and eliminates disposable delivery packaging. Meal plans are a key pillar to achieve health or physical goals.

A full circle solution was missing, and the Bolt team saw an opportunity to take food delivery to the next level and provide a sustainable Food as a Service product. We made the prototypes for the indiegogo campaign of The One Movement. With the sales of their thermos bottle The One Movement finances plastic waste collection AND houses for plastic pickers in India. For this they work with Plastic for Change. In 2021, they have built 2 houses. Their goal is to build 20 houses. 1,000 One Bottles sold equals one recycled home. You can follow their impact here.

For Fangpusun, a manufacturing brand of solar inverters, we designed an inverter with integrated interface panel. A solar inverter translates the power from solar panels to your home.
Solar inverters and the interface control both need wall space and were unrelated separate parts. We designed the interface panel and casing in such a way that the interface integrates inside the case of the inverter. We wanted to make it possible to upgrade the interface over time, anticipating on new technology that could become available.
Orange Creatives took care of the design, mockups and prototyping.

With the current pandemic taking place, hygiene and sanitation has become a major concern and focus in public spaces. In order to maintain a high level of sanitation, RV Autotech took the initiative to create an automated disinfection module that can mount onto their existing Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). The final design is modern, suitable for a wide range of indoor environments and has been built for easy assembly and easy repair.
Orange Creatives designed the component layout, structural frame, and aesthetic design including cable management and component access including first prototype. The AGV is used in hospitals, airports, gyms and other public spaces.

Interdental care is often overlooked and existing solutions are mostly disposables with poor grip. The Vess offers an ultrasonic electronic floss. The Vess has a handful grip, replacable tip and sonic vibration. Sensors inside track how long and often the Vess is used, and are connected to the Vess data board on your phone.

Turing Robot wanted to create a new character for their toy humanoid hardware, and upgrade it with a LCD screen.
Our vision was to make it stand out from the competitive technical looking humanoids, and relate more with popular creatures in the movie industry, like Baymax and Eva from Wall-E . We gave it a chubby character, where the extra screen fits perfectly in his belly. Last, we kept it genderless and rendered it in different skin colors, in order to reach the maximum inclusive audience.
Turing Robot 想为他们的人形玩具机器人而创造一个新的角色并为这个机器人升级一个LCD屏幕。

For years, the hand-held vacuum cleaner has not been a product applied with innovation or style. As a result, it has remained a bulky and unattractive device which is often stored away. Due to a new smaller motor component, developed in Japan, it was possible to make a slim iconic rebirth.
Cleaning has always been a part of our everyday routines. However, it is not a chore many of us choose to do. In particular, cleaning of automobiles is difficult to achieve when on-the-go. The starting points of our design brief:

A basic problem in the packaging industry is the use of lots of bulky material and it’s impact on the environment. Nuevopaks developed machines to produce cushioning, paper void-filler, and paper wrapping from recycled paper. Nuevopak and SealedAir asked Orange Creatives to design the casing around their new system: the PackTiger2 (PT2). We took the internal construction as a starting point, and designed a well balanced, robotic style casing around it. Taking care of ergonomic dimensioning and intuitive understanding of the interaction.
Design Brief

Clean air wherever your go. Clean air in your personal space. These are hot topics in Korea, Japan and China. Because of its size air quality sensors had only been placed inside room size air purifiers. With time, these sensors evolved to be smaller (and more accurate). Our client Winswift asked us to combine their portable air purfier with the latest air quality sensor.
We took care of the component layout, aesthetic design and first prototypes. We added a color ring to indicate the Air Quality Index.

Our client wanted to make wireless charger a commodity in your home. Whether you are cooking in the kitchen, getting yourself ready in the bathroom, or changing your baby’s diaper.
We created a modular system of wall mounts, desk mounts and rotating mounts to keep yourself handsfree, charging and connected with the world.

The Svanki heated ice cream scoop is designed to make scooping ice cream easier. With a push of a button, your scoop heats up. Simply lift the scoop, press the button at the bottom, and scoop out your favorite flavor! It scoops through the hardest ice cream, sliding through it like butter. It has a wireless charging base, and it can run for 30 minutes per charge.

Xiaoka was one of the first developers in China of blockbased educational software and hardware. They wanted to create an unique physical character that kids could control with their software.
We envisioned that the character looked like it did not know everything yet, and still had to learn things, something that the child would see as a little brother or sister. After a thorough design study we decided to go for quite an abstract but approachable shape, and this is how Xiaoka was born. Xiaoka steals everybody’s heart when he spins his body around and guides your child to many stages of his development.
Xiaoka 是最先为 blockbased 基于块编程教育的软硬件开发团队之一。他们想创造一个独特的物理角色，让孩子们可以用他们的软件来控制该机器人。
