FPI joins Dutch Tech Delegation
Our mother company FPI is selected to join the Dutch Tech delegation to the CES 2021 in Las Vegas. They will launch their startup initiative called WeHardware. WeHardware helps startups to realize their physical product and production capacity, by providing hardware CTO services for hire.
With WeHardware’s CTO for hire services, FPI saw an opportunity to minimize the risk and accelerate European and US startups with a physical product. Already since 2007, FPI is helping startups to realize their very early prototypes and initial productions. Well-known references are Modrobotics (raised 10 million USD), Vanmoof (raised 60 million USD) and Littlebits (bought out by Sphero). FPI partnered with these companies long before they received their big fundings.
WeHardware is our HR model
Though Holland is known for its startup scene, in general, investors (and startups) see physical products as a risk: they are expensive, IP sensitive, something you cannot launch until it is perfect, and increasingly demanding on sustainable development goals. Additionally, hardware is often a mean to sell software or subscription model. And last, hardware development needs a senior team, but the work is done once the product is launched, unlike software.
With WeHardware’s CTO for hire services, FPI saw an opportunity to minimize the risk and accelerate European and US startups with a physical product. With this vision, WeHardware was selected by the Dutch government as part of the best 90 tech pioneers of Holland.
