Dukhoon | Designed for Aroma & Incense

In Arab cultures Agar wood has been used for centuries as a token of hospitality. It is originally burned on a piece of charcoal to fill the room, clothes or hair with its sensual aroma.

In western perfumes we know Agar Wood as Oudh. Today, Agar wood is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world. High demand has increased the price, but also the rate of harvesting.

Together with Prototec and Spark design we designed a new technique, that reduces the amount of Agar Wood needed, and uses electricity instead of charcoal.

The new technique brings the wood to a perfect temperature within seconds instead of minutes. We perfected the balance between the inside heat and air flow and developed an advanced heating chamber with an unique heating element and ceramic insulation.

The result is a new incense burning ritual. An aroma diffuser that is portable, safer and intuitive.
